Commercial Client Manager

Beach Bank– Fort Walton Beach location is currently seeking a full-time Commercial Client Manager. Our Commercial Client Managers provide a variety of commercial loan products and loan services based on complexity of customers’ individual needs. Commercial Client Managers contribute to bank growth and profitability by growing deposits and providing other financial services through either direct or cross-selling efforts; referring prospects to Retail, Treasury Management, Mortgage, and Merchant Services. This role serves as a commercial banking expert for a branch or a group of branches and may train and oversee the work of supporting team members. Ideal candidates should possess the ability to develop and manage relationships with businesses having annual sales revenue from $500,000 and up.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other reasonably related duties may be assigned by immediate supervisor or other supervisors.

  • Meets and exceeds sales goals in loans, loan fees, deposits, treasury management income and referrals to line of business partners.
  • Develops new and existing customer relationships through networking, cross-selling opportunities and referrals to and from business product partners within the bank. Establishes and maintains comprehensive referral network to generate new client relationships, targeting more complex businesses.
  • Manages assigned portfolio and retains and strengthens current relationships. Focus is on commercial lending opportunities, but also pursues, develops, and services a wide variety of financial products.
  • Partners with branch manager and serves as the primary point of contact for the business customer. Serves as commercial banking expert for a branch or a group of branches.
  • May generate SBA loans by proactively creating, developing and maintaining internal/external relationships.
  • Proactively manages customer relationships by identifying financial needs, delivering solutions to meet the needs, and delivering quality customer service.
  • Reviews applicant financial data to evaluate credit worthiness and manages difficult credit situations.
  • Negotiates terms and makes decisions on loans within limits or makes recommendations. Monitors outstanding loans to ensure ongoing credit worthiness.
  • Represents Beach Community Bank within the community by actively serving in community organizations, participating in local chambers of commerce and other related leadership activities.
  • Adheres to established loan policies and procedures. Works with commercial credit approval process to ensure that underwriting and credit quality standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Uses professional knowledge, experience and analytical criteria to make decisions and resolve problems; acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • May orient, train, assign, and review the work of lower-level team members.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business development experience with focus on commercial businesses in the $2-20 million revenue category.
  • Proven sales results and advisory skills. Demonstrated skill in soliciting business for bank deposit products and services. Ability to identify client needs, present banking solutions and bank products. Proven ability to retain existing customers and develop new customer relations.
  • Demonstrated credit skills.
  • Strong people relations skills and ability to work with team members and customers in a cooperative manner. Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions, research and solve problems, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a complex loan portfolio
  • Experience independently managing moderately complex customer relationships and managing some difficult credit situations
  • Strong business development calling skills.
  • Experience independently sourcing new businesses
  • Ability to negotiate and influence actions in a professional and effective manner

Mortgage Loan Originator: Crestview, South Walton, Pensacola, Tampa areas

Beach Mortgage is looking for Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) in the Crestview, South Walton, Pensacola and Tampa areas. MLOs serve as a main contact point for Borrower and Retail Operations with the loan origination process. MLOs identify financial needs and promote mortgage products to clients. Our originators eagerly take the initiative to generate their own client base and/or work leads provided by Beach Community Bank/Mortgage. Our MLOs pride themselves on staying abreast of new types of loans and other financial products in order to better meet our customers’ needs. The Mortgage Loan Originator must meet or exceed the set weekly and/or monthly production goals management has established, communicate with their Manager/Supervisor on a daily or weekly basis regarding personal production, meet strict deadlines and maintain compliance,  and resolve issues/difficulties across multiple departments while maintaining and exceeding a high level of customer service to internal and external customers .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other reasonably related duties may be assigned by immediate supervisor or other supervisors.

  • Maintains relationships with internal and external referral sources (i.e. realtors, past clients, internal referrals through marketing efforts).
  • Obtain and compile loan applicants’ credit histories and other financial information. Prepares mortgage loan file in Encompass, clarifies or obtains additional information as necessary.
  • Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those loan products specific to the borrower’s needs.
  • Work closely with processors, closers and underwriters.
  • Maintains and ensures complete and accurate compliance with RESPA, Regulation Z, Fair Lending, HMDA, Bank Secrecy Act and other regulations regarding the mortgage application process.
  • Protect Company’s reputation and image by maintaining Borrower confidence, deliver a high level of customer service and by keeping mortgage loan information confidential.
  • Cold Calling on Leads (provided) by telephone and follow-up on same Leads by telephone.
  • Customer Follow-Up during loan processing through channels to be approved and after loan is approved and closed.
  • Honesty and integrity in dealing with others and accountability in standing behind your work; initiative and self-motivation in serving the client, getting the job completed thoroughly and on time; good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to listen to others and understand and identify their needs; confidence in yourself and enthusiasm regarding your service. Organizational skills in having the ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks at the same time. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; some college preferred; College degree desired.
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Mortgage Loan Applications/Software)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent mortgage loan experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills; written and oral communication skills and ability to demonstrate control, flexibility and maintain quality and high productivity when dealing with customers and changing work demand.
  • Must possess basic PC skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel or equivalent software. Encompass experience desired.
  • Demonstrate effective and strong verbal and listening communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with principals, executive management and clients.
  • Demonstrate the assertiveness, perseverance, energy and passion – results oriented behavior required to be successful in this role.

Client Service Representative: Destin & Navarre areas

Beach Bank is currently seeking full-time Client Service Representatives (CSR) for several of our NW Florida locations (Navarre, Fort Walton Beach, Destin). The primary responsibility of the CSR is to create meaningful personal connections with clients, identify opportunities to meet client needs, and assist in resolving end to end client sales and service inquiries. The successful candidate should be ambitious and adaptable with a desire to build long term relationships with our clients based on knowing who they are, understanding their needs, and providing basic financial advice through a consultative approach. This requires an individual who is motivated by a fast-paced and energetic environment, with the ability to provide personalized customer service.

Job Functions:

  • Provides a consistent optimal client experience, primarily handling clients’ transactional needs, including but not limited to performing activities such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and balancing.
  • Answers client inquiries regarding products and services, fulfills basic servicing requests, and opens Consumer and Commercial products (CDs, Business and Personal Checking Accounts, Business and Personal Savings Accounts, IRAs).
  • Works to create and establish relationships with clients, remaining well-informed about the client’s relationship with the bank and cross selling bank products as needed.
  • Educates clients on standard consumer and commercial products, emerging bank technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings, all designed to make banking easier.
  • Assists branch and fellow team members with achieving goals by assisting with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution.
  • Achieves required levels of outbound phone calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate clients on emerging technology and assist with meeting their financial needs
  • Ensures safe and sound banking practices, including adherence to all applicable laws and regulations
